Cuauhtemoc Cardenas

Cuauhtemoc Cardenas (born 1934) is a prominent Mexican politician.

He was born in Mexico City, the son of President Lazaro Cardenas.

Cuauhtemoc Cardenas was elected Mayor of Mexico City. Many people believe that he was the actual victor of the 1988 Mexican Presidential election, which the ruling PRI party was accused of rigging to favor their candidate Carlos Salinas de Gortari.
