Crazy Horse

Tashunca-uitco (Sioux) or Crazy Horse (English), (December 4, 1849 - September 5, 1877) was the Chief of the Native American tribe the Oglala Sioux and is noted for leading his people into a war against the White take-over of their lands.

On January 8, 1877, his warriors fought their last battle with the United States Cavalry[?] in Montana and on May 8 of that year he realized that his people were weakened by cold and hunger and he surrendered to United States troops in Nebraska.

He was killed by United States soldiers on September 5, 1877, while reportedly resisting arrest.
