Coney Island

Coney Island is an area on the Atlantic shore of Brooklyn, New York. Formerly an actual island, it is now connected to the rest of Brooklyn by landfill.

Coney Island is best known for its amusement parks and public beaches. It is also the location of the New York Aquarium[?] and the stadium of the Brooklyn Cyclones[?] minor-league baseball team. Less famously, Coney Island is a residential area.

The amusement area contains various rides, games such as skeeball[?], and a sideshow. The best-known rides are the Wonder Wheel, a huge ferris wheel, and the Cyclone roller coaster.
