Computer connector

This term may be applied to a number of connectors within computers or to connectors that connect computers to networks, printers or other devices. Generally, these connectors have specific names that provide more precise identification, and use of those names is encouraged. Some common computer connectors are D-sub, edgecard, Centronix, USB, BNC, RJ-11, and various pin and socket designs on 0.100 inch and 2 mm pitch.
