Community Theater/Theatre is American or Australian/New Zealand version of the UK Amateur Theatre[?] which is the oppisite to Professional drama. It shouldn't be confused with with the newly born in the UK Community theatre which is mix of professional and amateur drama.

It is the most popular form of theater in America.
