Cold Bay is a city located in Aleutians East Borough, Alaska. As of the 2000 census, the population of the city is 88.

Geography Cold Bay is located at 55°12'33" North, 162°42'51" West (55.209038, -162.714298)1.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 183.7 km² (70.9 mi²). 140.8 km² (54.4 mi²) of it is land and 42.9 km² (16.6 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 23.34% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 88 people, 36 households, and 18 families residing in the city. The population density is 0.6/km² (1.6/mi²). There are 98 housing units at an average density of 0.7/km² (1.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 71.59% White, 3.41% African American, 17.05% Native American, 4.55% Asian, 2.27% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.14% from two or more races. 2.27% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 36 households out of which 33.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.4% are married couples living together, 2.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 50.0% are non-families. 36.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 0.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.28 and the average family size is 3.11.

In the city the population is spread out with 23.9% under the age of 18, 9.1% from 18 to 24, 39.8% from 25 to 44, 27.3% from 45 to 64, and 0.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 34 years. For every 100 females there are 183.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 204.5 males.

The median income for a household in the city is $55,750, and the median income for a family is $64,375. Males have a median income of $36,250 versus $38,333 for females. The per capita income for the city is $20,037. 27.3% of the population and 0.0% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 0.0% are under the age of 18 and 0.0% are 65 or older.
