Palm oil

Palm oil is obtained from the flesh of the fruit of the oil palm[?]. This fruit is about the size of a plum and grows in large bunches.

The oil palm originated in West Africa and can mainly be found in coastal regions within 20 degrees of the equator.

There is evidence of palm oil in use in Ancient Egypt.
