Click to donate sites

Click to Donate sites are Web sites where users can click a button or buttons and generate a donation that is given to a charity/cause. They are free because the money comes from advertisers whose banners are on the webpage which the user has been directed to. In most cases, the donation generated by each user is only a few cents, but the goal is to accumulate enough clicks to add up to a significant amount.

Some examples include:

EcologyFund: http://www.ecologyfund.com (http://www.ecologyfund.com) (Save Habitat)

HungerSite(one of the first): http://www.thehungersite.com (http://www.thehungersite.com) (stop hunger)

Tree4life: http://www.tree4life.com (http://www.tree4life.com) (plant part of a tree)

and there are many more.
