Clear channel

Clear channel AM stations are radio stations that are designated as such so that only one or two 50,000 watt powerhouses operate at night, covering a wide area at night via sky wave propogation. They may or may not be owned by Clear Channel Communications, a San Antonio-based organization that owns a large number of radio stations.
