Christopher J. Date

Christopher J. Date became involved with Edgar F. Codd's relational model for database management while working at IBM. He is the current principal maintainer and developer of the relational model, together with Hugh Darwen.

He is the author of several books, including the classic textbook An Introduction to Database Systems[?], The Third Manifesto (with Hugh Darwen) and several editions of Relational Database Writings. He currently publishes articles with Fabian Pascal at http://dbdebunk.com./.
