Christine Todd Whitman, also known as Christie Whitman, served as the first female governor of the State of New Jersey from 1993 until 2001. Governor Whitman is the Administrator of the United States Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, DC. On May 20, 2003 she announced that she will resign the position on June 27.
