The Chicago Times was a newspaper in Chicago, Illinois. Previously edited by Cyrus McCormick, in 1861 the paper was purchased by Wilbur F. Storey[?].

Storey and Joseph Medill, editor of the Chicago Tribune, maintained a strong rivalry for some time.
