Charles Emmanuel I of Savoy

Charles Emmanuel I (b.January 12, 1562-d.July 16, 1630), surnamed the Great, was the Duke of Savoy from 1580-1630.

He married Catherina (b.1567-d.1597), daughter of Philip II of Spain and Elizabeth of France and had 10 children including

Vittorio Amedeo
Maurice, a cardinal
Margaret b.1589-d.1655, married Francis IV Gonzaga of Mantua
Isabella b.1591-d.1626, married Alphonso of Este, duke of Modena
Tommaso Francesco
