Charles Addams

Charles Samuel Addams (January 7, 1912 - September 28, 1988) was a cartoonist known for his particularly dark brand of humour. His cartoons regularly appeared in the The New Yorker from the 1930s until his death. Some of the recurring characters became the basis for a television series, The Addams Family, and later a motion picture of the same name.
