CFAF
Communauté Financière Africaine franc (CFAF) is
a currency, commonly called franc, used in 14 African countries.
There are two versions:
- CFA franc BCEAO (Central Bank of West African States), for the 8 countries of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA)[?]:
- CFA franc BEAC (Central Bank of Central African States), for the 6 countries of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC)[?]:
Both versions of the CFAF have the same value: since January 1, 1999, they are pegged to the euro at a rate of 655.957 CFA francs per euro.
They have the ISO 4217 currency codes XOF and XAF, respectively.
