Central Advisory Committee of China

Central Advisory Committee (中央顾问委员会 zhong1 yang1 gu4 wen4 wei3 yuan2 hui3) (CAC) of People's Republic of China provides "political assistance and consultation" to Central Committee[?] (中央委员会).

The Committee was established after the Twelfth People's Political Consultative Conference in in 1982. The first two chairmen were Deng Xiaoping (1982-1987) and Chen Yun (陈云) (1987-1992). Its membership is offered only to party members with forty years or more of service.
