Celestun

Celestun is a town in the Yucatan state of Mexico. It in the north west of the state just north of the border with Campeche state, on the Gulf of Mexico coast. It is mostly a fishing town, with an old 19th century lighthouse.

Nearby is the 147,500 acre Parque Natural del Flamenco Mexicano, a wetland reserve that is the winter home to vast flocks of flamingos.
