Castle Howard

Castle Howard is a stately home in Yorkshire, England, 25 miles north of York. Actually a great house rather than a fortress, it is part of the Treasure Houses of England heritage group.

It is familiar to television audiences as the location for Brideshead in Granada Television's Brideshead Revisited.
