Carlton is a city located in Dickinson County, Kansas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 38.

Geography Carlton is located at 38°41'12" North, 97°17'38" West (38.686786, -97.294015)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²). 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 38 people, 16 households, and 11 families residing in the city. The population density is 91.7/km² (232.0/mi²).
