Canned Heat

Canned Heat was a blues-rock band in the 1960s. Their debut album was released not long after their appearance at the Monterey Pop Festival[?]. Their second album, Boogie with Canned Heat[?] was more successful, and included collaborations with John Lee Hooker. After "Goin' up the Country" and "Let's Work Together" became major hits, band-member Alan Wilson[?] died, probably due to drug problems. The band continued touring for a time, but was never able to play to more than a small but devoted audience.
