Canada West

Canada West was the western portion of the Province of Canada. It consisted of the southern portion of the modern-day Canadian province of Ontario.

Formerly a colony called Upper Canada, based on Lord Durham's report it was merged with Lower Canada (present-day Quebec) to create the unified Province of Canada.
