Camulodunum

Camulodumum is the Roman name for Colchester, a town in Essex, England. In Roman letters, it looks like CAMVLODVNVM.

Camulodunum is a Romanisation of the town's previous Celtic name: Camulodunon. The name means 'the Fortress of Camulos' (the Celtic God of War).
