C-News

C-News is a newsserver, written by Henry Spencer and Geoff Collyer[?] as a replacement for B-News. C News handles the transport and storage subsystems of the news software. The latest official relase is from 1993, and C News is now mostly obsoleted by INN. It is presumably still used for some small news servers.

C News is basically communication protocol neutral, but includes support for UUCP. Later releases also included support for NNTP.
