Bunbury, Australia

Redirected from Bunbury, Western Australia

Bunbury is the second-largest town in Western Australia and is situated approximately 2 hours drive South of Perth.

Bunbury is slightly more temperate than Perth, actually receiving rainfall during summer and not generally reaching into the low-mid 40s as Perth often does.

Bunbury is situated by Leschenault bay and is generally at the point where the rocky reefs finally dive into the coastline, allowing some actual surf through to the beaches.

The one main feature of what you could call the Bunbury skyline is a squat building that is often affectionately dubbed "the hedgehog" - it's quite obvious why as it appears like a small hedgehog sitting on its haunches sniffing the air.

Bunbury is also a fictitious character in Oscar Wilde's play The Importance of Being Earnest.
