Bullroarer

The bullroarer or turndun is a free aerophone musical instrument consisting of a board of wood tied to a rope, which is whirled to produce a sound. It is used by Australian Aborigines, from whose language turndun comes.
"Bullroarer" is also a song on Midnight Oil's Diesel and Dust cd.
