Brandenburg v. Ohio

Based on the 1st Amendment Argued February 27, 1969 decided June 9, 1969

Brandenburg was a KKK leader convicted of advocating violence under Ohio's Criminal Syndicalism law. The court overturned his conviction on the grounds of the statute violating the 1st and the 14th.
