Braehead

(Scots brae: steep incline) Braehead, in Scotland, is the location of a large shopping centre, the Clydebuilt[?] shipbuilding museum and the Braehead Arena[?] performance venue. Braehead lies across the River Clyde from Scotstoun[?], about 10km west of the centre of Glasgow and 4km east of Renfrew[?]. Local authority boundary lines were recently moved, taking Braehead from the City of Glasgow and giving it to Renfrewshire.

The shopping centre is often very busy and full of families with young children, especially at the weekends. The place is occasionally berated for commercialising childrens' life experience: an acronym for the place is "Brats Run About Everywhere, Has Education Altogether Died?". Organised family trips to another Braehead in the country are tagged Braehead without the shops[?].
