Himna ,,Boze pravde nastala je u drugoj polovini devetnaestog veka.Ona je za srpsku himnu preuzeta iz pozorisnog komada ,,Markova sablja.Reci je napisao upravnik narodnog pozorista u Beogradu Jovan Djordjevic, a melodiju je komponovao Davorin Jenko. Boze prvde je prvi put izvedena 1872.god na dan punoletstva srpskog kneza Milana Obrenovica.
