Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 958 people, 445 households, and 303 families residing in the town. The population density is 4.5/km² (11.7/mi²). There are 1,407 housing units at an average density of 6.6/km² (17.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 98.23% White, 0.00% African American, 0.52% Native American, 0.10% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.42% from other races, and 0.73% from two or more races. 0.52% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
