Bornem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality comprises the towns of Bornem proper, Hingene[?], Mariekerke[?] and Weert[?]. On January 1st, 2000 Bornem had a total population of 19,939 (9,868 males and 10,071 females). The total area is 46.46 km² which gives a population density of 429.16 inhabitants per km².
