Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 119.5 km² (46.1 mi²). 57.2 km² (22.1 mi²) of it is land and 62.2 km² (24.0 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 52.09% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 2,960 people, 1,261 households, and 881 families residing in the town. The population density is 51.7/km² (134.0/mi²). There are 2,046 housing units at an average density of 35.7/km² (92.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 99.05% White, 0.03% African American, 0.34% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.10% from other races, and 0.34% from two or more races. 0.51% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
