Bonnetsville is a town located in Sampson County, North Carolina. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 390.

Geography Bonnetsville is located at 34°59'28" North, 78°24'8" West (34.991201, -78.402274)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 8.5 km² (3.3 mi²). 8.5 km² (3.3 mi²) of it is land and 0.31% is water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 390 people, 148 households, and 108 families residing in the town. The population density is 46.0/km² (119.4/mi²). There are 183 housing units at an average density of 21.6/km² (56.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 55.13% White, 34.87% African American, 1.03% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 5.64% from other races, and 3.33% from two or more races. 12.56% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 148 households out of which 31.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.7% are married couples living together, 14.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 27.0% are non-families. 20.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.64 and the average family size is 3.06.

In the town the population is spread out with 25.9% under the age of 18, 9.0% from 18 to 24, 31.8% from 25 to 44, 25.4% from 45 to 64, and 7.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 35 years. For every 100 females there are 98.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 99.3 males.

The median income for a household in the town is $35,125, and the median income for a family is $39,531. Males have a median income of $28,125 versus $16,500 for females. The per capita income for the town is $12,793. 13.0% of the population and 11.7% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 20.6% are under the age of 18 and 0.0% are 65 or older.
