The city Bodø in the county of Nordland, Norway,
has 42,186 inhabitants as of January 1, 2003.
Bodø is the northern end of the railroad network of Norway, except for the unconnected line from Narvik to Kiruna, Sweden.
The local newspaper is named Avisa Nordland.
The local football club, F.K. Bodø/Glimt, plays in the Norwegian premier league (2003).
