Boca Del Mar is a town located in Palm Beach County, Florida. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 21,832.

Geography Boca Del Mar is located at 26°20'42" North, 80°8'48" West (26.344957, -80.146590)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 10.4 km² (4.0 mi²). 10.4 km² (4.0 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 21,832 people, 10,911 households, and 5,662 families residing in the town. The population density is 2,096.9/km² (5,430.1/mi²). There are 12,009 housing units at an average density of 1,153.4/km² (2,986.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 94.43% White, 1.23% African American, 0.05% Native American, 1.88% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 1.06% from other races, and 1.32% from two or more races. 8.16% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 10,911 households out of which 16.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.2% are married couples living together, 7.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 48.1% are non-families. 39.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 17.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 1.95 and the average family size is 2.60.

In the town the population is spread out with 14.4% under the age of 18, 6.3% from 18 to 24, 27.3% from 25 to 44, 24.4% from 45 to 64, and 27.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 47 years. For every 100 females there are 83.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 79.2 males.

The median income for a household in the town is $52,335, and the median income for a family is $69,531. Males have a median income of $49,013 versus $35,485 for females. The per capita income for the town is $36,983. 4.3% of the population and 1.7% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 2.5% are under the age of 18 and 3.3% are 65 or older.
