Blood Sugar Sex Magik

Blood Sugar Sex Magik is a funk metal album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, released in September of 1991 (see 1991 in music). Although the Red Hot Chili Peppers never penetrated the mainstream, their limited forays into popular radio began with "Give It Away" and "Under the Bridge" from Blood Sugar Sex Magik, which is widely regarded as the best album of their earlier days, and perhaps their best overall (many critics feel that the Red Hot Chili Peppers' quality fell precipitously after this album).
