Billy Kinsley

Billy Kingsley left the Merseybeats in 1966 and had a hit with his new band The Merseys with a superb song called Sorrow a solo career then ensued and among the tracks recorded was a brilliant song called Bye Bye Baby not to be confused with a 4 Seasons track of a similar title this was an original back to the roots raw Merseybeat tune. Unfortunately no more success charts wise after 1966 but along with Tony Crane should be remembered as founder members of the phenomenon that was merseybeat a little bit of rock n roll a little bit of R & B a little skiffle and a little something special banged out by a lot of talented Liverpool groups.
