Bill Sprouse Jr. was a Christianevangelist, singer and songwriter, frontman for a group called The Road Home, active during the 1970s. He was severely overweight and died at age 26. Sprouse is best-known for his songwriting, including "Shotgun Angel", "Since I Met Jesus" and "Psalm Five".
