Biblia Vulgata is the
Latin,
academic[?] and
technical name of the
Bible known in English as
Vulgate or The Vulgate. Its name means "the divulged Bible" or "the Bible given to the public", from Latin 'Biblia', Bible and 'vulgata', divulged, given to the public; paradoxically, the
Catholic church discourages laic people of reading this version instead of the translated ones.
