Beverly Hillbillies

The Beverly Hillbillies was a television situation comedy about a hillbilly who strikes oil, becomes rich, and moves his entire family to Beverly Hills, California. It appeared on the CBS network from 1962 to 1971 and was a top rated program through most of its original run.

Most Beverly Hillbillies storylines revolved around the differences between hillbilly culture and modern American culture.

The Beverly Hillbillies starred Buddy Ebsen as patriarch Jed Clampett, Irene Ryan as Granny, Max Baer, Jr. as Jethro, Donna Douglas as Elly May, Raymond Bailey as Milburn Drysdale and Nancy Kulp as Jane Hathaway.
