Bertem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the towns of Bertem proper, Korbeek-Dijle[?] and Leefdaal[?]. On January 1st, 2000 Bertem had a total population of 8,843 (4,356 males and 4,487 females). The total area is 29.95 km² which gives a population density of 295.26 inhabitants per km².
