Benmont Tench

Benmont Tench (September 7, 1953 - ) is an American keyboardist, born in Gainesville, FL.

Tench is best known as pianist/keyboardist for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, but he is also one of the most well respected session players in the music business and has performed on countless recordings by other artists, including Elvis Costello, Jackson Browne, Sheryl Crow, Amy Grant, Shawn Colvin[?], Mary-Chapin Carpenter[?], U2, Mick Jagger & The Rolling Stones, Willie Nelson, Green Day, Alanis Morissette, Aretha Franklin, Peter Case, Bob Dylan, Randy Newman, Eurythmics, Brian Wilson, Indigo Girls, Waylon Jennings, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, Rosanne Cash[?], Hall & Oates, John Hiatt[?], Roger McGuinn, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Bonnie Raitt, Sam Phillips, Stevie Nicks, Brian Setzer, Ringo Starr, Bruce Cockburn, Neil Diamond, Brian Eno, Joe Cocker, The Ramones and others.
