Belville is a town located in Brunswick County, North Carolina. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 285.

Geography Belville is located at 34°13'9" North, 77°59'43" West (34.219187, -77.995396)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 10.6 km² (4.1 mi²). 10.5 km² (4.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.46% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 285 people, 108 households, and 84 families residing in the town. The population density is 27.2/km² (70.6/mi²). There are 142 housing units at an average density of 13.6/km² (35.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 81.75% White, 14.39% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 1.75% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 2.11% from two or more races. 2.81% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 108 households out of which 42.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.0% are married couples living together, 11.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 22.2% are non-families. 17.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.64 and the average family size is 2.95.

In the town the population is spread out with 28.4% under the age of 18, 11.9% from 18 to 24, 40.7% from 25 to 44, 13.7% from 45 to 64, and 5.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 27 years. For every 100 females there are 95.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 100.0 males.

The median income for a household in the town is $55,536, and the median income for a family is $56,250. Males have a median income of $29,167 versus $23,929 for females. The per capita income for the town is $22,482. 14.5% of the population and 7.4% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 28.1% are under the age of 18 and 7.4% are 65 or older.
