Beach Park is a village located in Lake County, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 10,072.

Geography Beach Park is located at 42°25'26" North, 87°50'52" West (42.423763, -87.847753)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 16.6 km² (6.4 mi²). 16.6 km² (6.4 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 10,072 people, 3,636 households, and 2,727 families residing in the village. The population density is 605.7/km² (1,569.0/mi²). There are 3,743 housing units at an average density of 225.1/km² (583.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 85.31% White, 4.54% African American, 0.28% Native American, 1.49% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 6.12% from other races, and 2.24% from two or more races. 13.58% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 3,636 households out of which 36.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.7% are married couples living together, 10.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.0% are non-families. 20.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.77 and the average family size is 3.21.

In the village the population is spread out with 27.0% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 29.9% from 25 to 44, 25.1% from 45 to 64, and 10.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 37 years. For every 100 females there are 98.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 96.3 males.

The median income for a household in the village is $56,553, and the median income for a family is $65,064. Males have a median income of $42,982 versus $32,412 for females. The per capita income for the village is $23,803. 3.7% of the population and 3.5% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 7.1% are under the age of 18 and 0.0% are 65 or older.
