In Star Trek, the Battle of Wolf 359 was the Federation's first major battle against the Borg. Admiral Hanson, of Starfleet Command, spearheaded the stand at Wolf 359. 11,000 federation personnel and thirty-nine ships were lost, including the USS Melbourne[?] and Benjamin Sisko's ship, the USS Saratoga, which now stands as a Federation graveyard.
