Basildon

Basildon is an industrial town in Essex England with a population of around 160,000. The town is located roughly 30 miles (50 km) east of London.

Basildon was created as a new town in 1949 from the merger of several smaller towns, and expanded to accommodate overspill population from London.

Basildon's main industries include: Chemicals, Clothing, Printing, Engineering, Tobbaco and Alcohol.
