Barto Township is a township located in Roseau County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 142.

Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 95.5 km² (36.9 mi²). 95.5 km² (36.9 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 142 people, 51 households, and 44 families residing in the township. The population density is 1.5/km² (3.9/mi²). There are 53 housing units at an average density of 0.6/km² (1.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 100.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 51 households out of which 37.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 80.4% are married couples living together, 2.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 13.7% are non-families. 11.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.78 and the average family size is 3.05.
