Barnard is a city located in Lincoln County, Kansas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 123.

Geography Barnard is located at 39°11'21" North, 98°2'35" West (39.189213, -98.043078)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²). 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 123 people, 62 households, and 37 families residing in the city. The population density is 215.9/km² (559.3/mi²). There are 77 housing units at an average density of 135.1/km² (350.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 100.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 62 households out of which 19.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.8% are married couples living together, 4.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 40.3% are non-families. 40.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 1.98 and the average family size is 2.65.

In the city the population is spread out with 17.9% under the age of 18, 5.7% from 18 to 24, 18.7% from 25 to 44, 30.9% from 45 to 64, and 26.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 48 years. For every 100 females there are 112.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 110.4 males.
