Barend Biesheuvel

Barend Willem Biesheuvel (April 5, 1920-April 29, 2001) was a Dutch politician, prime minister of the Netherlands from 1971 until 1973, as a member of the Protestant ARP[?] party.

Born in Haarlemmerliede[?], Biesheuvel stood out because of his height (1.97 m) and was known as Mooie Barend ("Beautiful Barend"). He died in 2001 in Haarlem.
