Barbara Frum

Barbara Frum (1937-1992) was one of Canada's most respected and influential journalists, a legendary news anchor for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. She was a longtime host of CBC Radio One's As It Happens, and then went on to host The Journal[?] on CBC Television[?]. She was much respected, and sometimes feared, Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau refused to be interviewed by her because he knew how tough she could be. She eventally died of cancer in 1992.

She was the mother of David Frum, journalist and former speechwriter.
