Ashcroftism

Ashcroftism is a set of ideas or policies alleged to be those or similar to those of John Ashcroft. Some of those opposed to John Ashcroft's ideas or actions, or alleged ideas or actions (including liberals and Marxists), accuse Ashcroft of using a terror scare to justify the violation of civil liberties and use this term to describe others they think do this.
